SPONSORED ADVERTORIAL
Being a mum is like wearing multiple hats. Life is just different with a child, and every mother can attest to that.
Whether you are a new mum-to-be or a breastfeeding mum, looking good is a natural instinct. NO husband would like to walk beside a messy, frumpy lady who’s starting to turn into a yellow faced wife, right?! :p
As a working mum, I find myself pulling out the same clothes to wear every other week, and I’m starting to get paranoid that some sharp-eyed colleague might actually spot that my clothes get repeated often enough.
Truth be told, when it comes to nursing wear, I’ve been rather stubborn. Refusing to buy into any nursing wear, and only going for nursing-friendly clothes just so their life spans could be extended even after we wean from nursing.
I guess this is not a surprise since I’ve held onto the same mantra when it was about maternity clothes too, right? You probably already knew that! Ha!
So, how can a mum grow her wardrobe without busting those piggy banks?
Better yet, look office-ready at work too!
Here are my top 3 picks from the sea of clothes available at Jump Eat Cry! It was mind boggling to choose and I had a hard time selecting them. But I’m pretty sure these versatile pieces will take me through the journey ahead!
Lookbook Style #1: OL in-charge

This one-piece outfit comes in three gorgeous colours that you can’t go wrong with. Simply jazz up with accessories to create different looks.
At work, slip on a pair of wedges or heels to accentuate your height instantly. Or, rock your own style and trade those chiffon dresses and don the jumpsuit to a wedding – instantly stand out from the sea of girlie frocks.
If like me, you’re more a pants person, this is great for the mummy who’s always on the go (who isn’t?!). There’s comfortable leg room so no worries about restricted movement when you need to bend or carry your child, run along after her or simply be able to sit comfortably.
Boyish figured ladies like yours truly will appreciate the cutting as it flatters the hips. So if you like to see some “shape” in you, this jumpsuit gives you that wholesome figure – or deceives your eyes for a moment! :P
Nursing tip: Wear a tube bra underneath to double-up as quick access for feeds and to serve as a layer beneath the flaps.
I’m wearing the Leslie Nursing Jumpsuit in Navy, size S.
Lookbook Style #2: You’re the gem of my heart <3

The contrast in colours first attracted me. And putting it on, actually gave me enough poofy-ness around the hips, instead of a flat piece of A-line fabric.
It’s fitted without an elastic waistband so if you’ve a growing waistline or bump, this might take you halfway through (depending on how much weight you’re putting on) pregnancy but none will be the wiser! :P
I’m wearing the Jewel Skater Dress in size S. This dress comes in a mummy and daughter set, so your little girl can doll up with you too! #twinning
Lookbook Style #3: Dance and twirl

Undoubtedly their best seller, this delicate skater dress is comfy and easy to wear with a simple snap button at the nape of your neck. For crazy work days, simply pull it out of your wardrobe, grab a skinny belt and TA-DAH! That easy!
With six pretty colours and a good-for-all-figures cutting, this skater dress has plenty of room for the growing bump to take your through your entire pregnancy. If the dress gets too short further along, pair it with leggings to complete the look.
Psst! Did I tell you that you can actually skip ironing this dress? :P Scores extra brownie points for being a time-saver already!
I’m wearing the Christina Skater Dress in Black, size S.
