Hop to Easter Day: Food + Fun + Family!

Easter is traditionally celebrated by Christians and Catholics, as on this day, Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead. Easter Day is also known as Easter Sunday, and the Friday before it is termed as “Good Friday”.

Good Friday is a public holiday here in Singapore. This day is traditionally a day of fasting and penance. For most of us, Good Friday is another day off and because it denotes a long weekend (I can hear your squeals!), it also means more time together as a family.

I remember fondly of Easter with egg hunting around my Primary School. Coming from a Catholic school, we had Easter mass, so this day was somewhat a day for us in our memories.

Now that we are adults, Easter weekend equates to extra time for ourselves and our families. There are many fun activities to do together – but for now, I’ll have to wait for Vera to be a little older so we can be a get more involved and to explain to her the origins of Easter. Then again, I don’t really want her to grow up so soon….. #dilemmaofamother

We put together a bumper list of ideas on Easter-inspired FOOD and FUN activities for the family that you could get busy with this weekend. Have tons of fun!
