So, here’s sharing ways on how to style up with Lenicc’s range of sunnies, and why you should check out this new kid on the block!
PSST! Read to the end to find out how you can WIN a pair for yourself too! ;)
See the world with stylish sunglasses from Local Brand Lenicc with a heart
These days, eyewear has evolved from eye aid to accessory. Sunglasses serve both functional yet stylish purposes but many tend to overlook an important point: its lens.
After all, our eyes do need sun protection too! Since we can’t apply sunscreen on our eyes, there’s where the sunglasses’ lens play an important role in eye protection. With the harsh sunshine that we get being in Singapore, many of us neglect our eye health (including myself!)… and that’s on top of all that screen time we indulge in too!
Did you know that not all lenses are the same? Those transparent plastic materials help filter harmful UV rays to protect our eyes from sun damage and block out glare.
Believing that eyewear should be fun, free and allow one to dress up creatively, co-founder, Grace Ng, along with her partners who are eye specialists in the industry, decided to start Lenicc.
Their first collection, Flight, showcases popular frames that suit most Asian face shapes. Check out Atalia, Arosa and Asori, and the variations in terms of colours that are available!
I’m wearing Lenicc Atalia Space Black with Gradient Pink Lens, $135: more details here (this link goes to the Gradient Black lens, but you can customise and opt for Gradient Pink lens, like mine! :)
The cat-eye frames with gold detailing adds character to my entire look. I was a little worried about looking “aggressive” but I think it looks okay on me! Goes great with workwear too for that dash of confidence, don’t you think? ;)
On me, Lenicc Asori Reverie Pink with Gradient Purple Lens, $175: more details here. Initially, I was a little hesistant about picking something so girlie cos I’m not very gentle! Haha but after trying it on, it actually looks okay on me! I can easily don this for the weekends in shorts and tee, or a pretty dress when I’m out! Heh.
Dressing my eyes with: Lenicc Arosa Ruby Wine with Gradient Brown Lens, $155
This versatile pair exudes the everyday casual look, and the shade of ruby wine goes well with most outfits too. Don’t be limited to just black frame shades :P
My poor eyes, because I’ve honestly been neglecting them even after LASIK. PLUS, staring at screens all-day and even at night when the kids are asleep…. Who else feels me? >.<
The sun has been really hot, and I do find that the shades help to block out the unforgiving glare. With 3 different frame shapes, I can easily recreate various styles everyday! Comfort-wise, each pair is of varying weight and offers different coverage over my eyes and face too. Amongst the 3 pairs, Asori feels lightest on my nose bridge and I feel extra dainty wearing it! It’s also about protecting the delicate skin around our eyes too, right? :P
Can I customise my Lenicc sunglassess?
In fact, local brand Lenicc welcomes customisation of their sunglasses! Choose from 3 frame styles, 3 arm designs (think: crystal, gold metal plating and pearls!) and 11 different lens colours!
