Not too long ago, we had the honour of an exclusive interview with Jocelyn from The Sunshine Kids, where she shared plans of an exciting year ahead! Now, their plans have started to roll, and first up: a merger with Agapebabies, an online retailer of premium products for babies and mummies. It’s a natural progression, and with the union and rebuilding into a multi-store, parents are spoiled for choice with over 100 brands and more than 2,000 products that cater to various needs and baby essentials such as nursing, feeding, carriers, foods, toys, books, skincare, treats for mummies, diapers, milk powder and more!
So, when they got in touch with us to be their brand ambassador, we were stoked!! This awesome news came amidst some crazy times (both at work and at home), so Jocelyn was basically our messenger of good news. And, what better way to feel better, would be a shopping treat for Vera!
Browsing the online store is easy, with navigation simplified via categories that were clearly stated. You could even choose to browse by brands or dive straight to the “NEW” or “SALE” sections instead. What put a smile on my face were the icons for each sub-product category – yes, I singled these symbols out just because I know the team behind a project has put in loads of effort and time to think about each representation and illustration. I guess it struck me because I used to do new product development, and such nitty gritty details are part of a user’s ease of usage and better experience.
Shopping process was easy-peasy:
1) Log in as a guest/Register as a user
2) Add items to shopping cart
3) Proceed to checkout and enter promo code (SCROLL BELOW for your promo code!!)
4) Proceed to pay via Paypal, ATM transfer or iBanking
5) Wait for your parcel!!
For us, we shopped over a few days and added the items to cart. Couldn’t decide what to get but knew that activity books/food/breastshields are on the list. Was a tad sad that some of the fun-looking books and music CDs were out of stock – bet they were selling like hot cakes!
Delivery was speedy – next day delivery added brownie points to the whole shopping experience. Here’s what came knocking on the door:
Letterland: A lift-the-flap ABC Book: Who’s Hiding?
Medela PersonalFit Breastshields
Bellamy’s Organic Vegie Pasta Alphabets
Chinese Learning Card (Things)
Hipp Organic Baby’s Biscuits – 6months up
Agapebabies was founded by Karen, and who knows babies and parents better than a mother herself? With these authentic products which are conveniently available with a click-pay-ship method, it’s easy to see why busy parents would enjoy shopping with them.
Who’d say no to stretching that dollar? Savvy mummies and daddies, are you ready for some great deals? Don’t miss these offers! Remember to join their mailing list so you won’t miss out on their new arrivals, offers and contests!
To sweeten your shopping, here’s a promo code just for THE HOOTING POST’s readers!!

This code is valid from 5 Aug- 2 Sept2014, with no minimum purchase required (can be used on top of ongoing discounts too!! Woohoo!!). Excludes purchase of breast pumps, diapers and milk.
Have always been a supporter for local brands especially startups, because I know it’s not easy. Doing something you like is not easy. Letting go of what you have or seem to be able to have, is no mean feat either. Indeed, it’s our pleasure to be part of Agapebabies and The Sunshine Kids (check out their pretty dresses for little girls!) journey. Get in touch with Agapebabies on Facebook and Instagram, and The Sunshine Kids on Facebook and Instagram too! Here’s wishing them the very best in their partnership – certainly excited to see the other plans unveil! :D
