CHICKEN OAT MEATBALLS A complete recipe, tips on why grind your own meat and more on the website SorensPurplePlate.com . . BLW appropriate from 7 months minus the salt. . . Make a larger than usual batch of steel cut oats for breakfast and use the leftovers for this recipe. These meatballs freeze well. . . To see what other meatballs Soren likes, look here #Sorensmeatballs . . . . INGREDIENTS: 1 cup cooked oats (I used steel cut) 2 large chicken breasts or 1 lb ground chicken 2 eggs 1/2 onion 1 garlic clove 1 tsp turmeric panko breadcrumbs (or any other breadcrumbs) . . METHOD: . . 1. I prefer to grind my own meat (check my blog as to why). To do so just place chunks of chicken into a small food processor like @cuisinart mini and pulse for 15 seconds or less. Or use a pound (0.5kg) of already ground chicken. . . 2. Mince or finely chop the onion. Mix all the ingredients (except breadcrumbs) well together. . . 3. Preheat your large pan. I didn't have a non-stick available so had to use a bit more oil.. . ❗️Avocado oil is perfect for it since it has a very high smoke point. . . 4. Form little balls and roll them in breadcrumbs. I love using Japanese panko because they make the meatballs nice and crunchy. . . #blw #babyledweaning #salad #kidsalad #meatballs #healthymeatballs #lunch #healthylunch #babyfood #healthymeals #toddler #toddlermeals #familyfood #instafood #instababy #homemade #f52grams #healthydinner #nutrition #toddlerfood #instaweanteam #healthykidscommunity #kidsfoodideas #dinner #feedfeed #eeeeats #kidsfood #toddlerfood
