On 8 March, several soon-to-be parents woke up early to congregate at Asia Square. If you have caught our ‘live’ updates on Instagram and Facebook or read our earlier article, you’d know what I was up to! I was invited to cover the event, and yes, waking up was pretty tough as we had only touched down the day before. All for passion – FTW! That aside, these early birds were up for a fun workout organized by SuperMom for the Strut Your Bump event.
In conjunction with SG50 and Tollyjoy, this event brought new parents through a learning journey on breastfeeding, cord banking, prenatal exercise, health policies, clean home environment and even baby shower gift ideas.

The highlight of the day? New mummies happily helped to set a new record with the Singapore Book of Records for: Largest Prenatal Exercise Class – 102 expectant mothers enjoyed a light workout together, conducted by Mom In Balance to set a new record! The event started with a breastfeeding workshop by Mrs Wong Boh Boi, followed by a sneak peek of Tollyjoy’s newly launched breastfeeding range which included breast pumps (manual and electric), nursing pads (disposable and washable) and breast milk storage bags.
Thereafter, the ladies got ready to move those bellies with exercise. Seeing all these glowing faces made me tempted to join in (sans bump) too! These mums looked like they had a ball – happy mums, happy bumps!
After a simple lunch of a fuel recharge, 16 excited father-to-be’s got down to handy work to vie for the Fastest Pump Fixer award by putting together a breast pump! Guess these guys will be playing supportive roles in their wives’ impending breastfeeding journey too! This makes a great deal of difference and big kudos to them for taking that first initiative even before their little one is out. #trueexperience
